That's pretty much what I figured. Does that mean an instrument rack? or is there a better alternative. Instrument rack is fine by me as I can keep everything together that was and also include midi devices and effects if I want.

Problem solved. A bit more searching and I find you can not upgrade via demo. Different installers. Downloaded, installed and authorised NP.

Not a biggie atm but with 3 days left on LIve12 Suite demo I pulled the pin on the instalment plan upgrade from my old Live 9 Suite. When I open LIve12 it still locks in the demo version with 3 days left and does not give me the option to validate the new version of 12. I'm guessing this will sort ...

Actually says it's not supported on 10.15 which explains why I had problems on my old MBP when the demo of 11 ran fine. It was actually when 12 stated it needed beyond that, that prompted me to try a MacBook Air (already the minimum specs).

Just a quick update. Found I get a free version of Live Lite with the Force so have installed it. Yet to bother trying it out but if Suite works I can't see there being a problem. Given that I don't use lots of tracks it's maybe all I need when the demo runs out. Main interest is hosting VSTs.
