I eventually got Live "installed" by manually deleting everything related to Live (including Live 5!), and then reinstalling Live 6.

What do you exactlly mean with 'deleting everything'.
Can you be more specific?

Because i'ts been 5 days now , and i still don't ...

How long does it take for the Ableton support team to reply ????
I send an email with my problem(3 days ago) and made a thread on the forum.
Come on guys I can't do nothing now.

I recently bought Live 5. Installed it , and had no problems what so ever.

Then i tried the beta version (last one, 21 I think).
But I receive an error message.
I install everything.
Click the shortcut created in the startmenu after install.
Splashscreen appears.
Live asks me to select a empty ...
