Thanks for the info. Here's to hoping that they get converted eventually.

Re: Anyone In the Detroit area????

Hey guys, I've been a Live user for five years now; based in Downriver but I spend a lot of time downtown (day job) or in Ann Arbor (will be there full-time in the fall for grad school). I wouldn't consider myself a total guru but I definitely know how to get things done. I'm currently working on an...

I have an MPK49 that I use with Live 7 and it works great. I personally like the controller quite a bit. It's well thought out, well built and has just the right amount of complexity for me. I like that I can just get right to work with it. I use it a lot with NI Komplete 5 quite a bit as well.

Best way to route audio via send to external effects box?

I'm looking for suggestions on how I could improve my setup a bit. The overview is that I want to be able to route audio from any channel to a send which actually just goes to my Korg Kaoss Pad 3 and then bring that audio back in, preferably on the corresponding return channel. How I currently have ...

Maybe it should be posted in the "Local" forum, since that seems like the right place for this sort of thing.

Thanks for the info and the link to the video review. I'm actually reasonably impressed with the device now and definitely will consider it as my new interface.

To be fair the first three years they had pretty inaccurate counts, due largely to the fact that they didn't have tickets, so chances are it was never quite that high. Still, 2007 had a much larger attendance than 2006 (which was probably the worst year as they were going through a lot of changes on...

Hey man, good to see some others from the D on here. I am a hobby producer (trying to do it more seriously as it's a lot more fun than my career) with a modest little studio at home. It'd be cool if we got some other Live users together and had a meet up or something. Maybe at Proof or one of the ot...

Well, the open source Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) is a decent tool, especially for being free. I used it for a while and was able to basically do most things I wanted. I personally use Adobe Soundbooth now though, but a major reason why was because I was already getting the CS3 Master...

Funny, I'm in a similar situation right now with my Firebox. It's a nice little piece of gear, but I really need to be able to route more audio. Right now I'm making do by just using my Mackie 12ch mixer as a sort of patch board, but I'll probably need to get something better. I'm strongly consideri...

I'll be there. I'm a Detroiter, and have been every year since the beginning. Really though, it is an amazing weekend and an excellent time. Last year I met people from Germany, UK, Brazil, Japan, Australia and all over the US and Canada to be there for the festival. I can't say enough about it; eve...

I reinstalled 7.0.5 on top of itself and the message went away. Hopefully this helps someone else!

"Samples are missing" when none are

I just installed 7.0.5 and it informs me in the status area that "Samples are missing. Please click here to learn more." When I scan my Library however, it says that no samples are missing (which is correct). Is there anything I can do to make this annoying message go away?

Thanks,
Naim
