Give grouped clips a name, not just a color
I have a lot of gear, Impulse instruments and some vsts with multiple outs. I have groups for them set up and clips within them. The whole idea of groups is to save space, so it's really not that handy that a closed group cannot be named, only assigned a color I name clips ('no kick' / one time tran...

Re: 8.3.1 ReWire error
Downloaded the 8.3.2 installer. I need to enter a new folder (can't install into existing Live 8 ) / give a new name for the Start Menu entry (Live 8 already exists). Tell me, what exactly is the convenience of this new installation method when it is only ANNOYANCE and delay where the setup used to ...

Man, that new 'Answers' solution is fucking annoying. I can't find ANYTHING with ease and the interface is atrocious. Why kill a perfectly good solution, even if it did have some noise? At least the search on this forum works. Booh, Ableton. BOOH!

Re: 64BIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
My studio drive b0rked (I didn't know the type, but it turns out to be the dreaded Seagate 7200.11) so I have been rebuilding my machine around 64-bit Windows 7. The machine has 8 gigs of RAM, which I understand Ableton won't be able to use for now. Apart from a few of my vst's needing upgrades, it ...

Re: Save the laptop from sub bass vibration?
Another ultra-cheap solution: the vibration reducing feet you put under washing machines, centrifuges et cetera. About ten euro for four feet.

Re: Fix the sync issues now !! yes or no ?
Good to see there are others who've experienced sync problems (and that Ableton seems to be listening) I have tried a lot of things and Ableton syncing quite nearly killed of my pleasure in making music. Curious thing is that without rewiring Live 6 (which I kept installed) seems to provide a stable...

Re: NEED HELP PLEASE!
Do you have Ableton Suite? Simpler should work, but I don't think that Analog and Operator are included/work with anything other than Suite.

Old set, nothing changed yet cpu overload/crackling!
Guys, I'm going nuts about this! Imagine my studio computer: 3 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 gigs, Windows XP Pro, ESI EPS1010. Ableton Suite 8. Drivers up to standard. It's ONLY my studio computer - I have a Mac for work and play. A few days ago I had to troubleshoot a Linux NAS machine. Since it had no monito...

Re: Girlfriend Singing me playing and programming.
'collaborate' * makes airquotes * Say no more 8) I'd have agree on the volume levels, either raise the vocals or lower the instruments. All in all not a bad voice for this type of music, have heard worse - could do with some ' fattening up' perhaps ( does my ass look big in this microphone? :twisted...

Refreshing to hear someone who can sing without the Autotune VST active.

Sounds awfully like the Bohannon track "Let's Start The Dance", right? The 12" or break part I guess?

Re: Did something to the girls of Destiny's Child
@ digitallush An intro of over a minute with no drums is hardly dancefloor oriented, I agree. Not that one couldn't use the drums from a track preceding it in a set, of course. I made it more for the amusement of myself and anyone who happens to listen in, than for anything else. Wasn't really plann...

Did something to the girls of Destiny's Child
I came across the a capella and made an acid remix of one of their hits. So, they only provided the voices. Kinda melancholic, strangely enough.
