I honestly can't hear enough of a difference, if any, (adam s2.5's in an acoustically treated room) to warrant the extra spend.
I would stick with the cheaper option.

I've started to use it with 3rd party samplers (Omnisphere, Stylus, Kontakt), to allow myself more ram within Ableton. seems quite stable so far.

Don't know if this has been posted on this forum, but it definitely looks to be a more complete solution from NI
