Re: Best DJ/Production Headphones?
just invested in a pair of Beyerdynamic DT1350's
Ferociously expensive, but very accurate. just came back from Ibiza, did 4 gigs for Pukka Up and Space, and they've stood up to the task very well.

Re: GEIST Available Now....
Where have you heard that this would happen any more effectively than it does now? From Angus in the Geist forum The plan is for us to either:- * reformat the GURU factory content for Geist & re release it free to everyone that already owns both or * build an export tool so that you can do it a...

Re: GEIST Available Now....
I have had a great time with Geist, I realise that it may not be what everyone in this forum wants, but for the way that I work, it's almost perfect. Once full GURU kit import is sorted, and the much wanted drum synth has been implemented, all my needs would be met. Well done all at Fxpansion, truly...

Re: CPU purchase dilemma.. i7 950 vs. Dual Xeon 5520's
I currently have the dual Xeon Option, and my main concern is that NONE of my audio applications are even coming close to using the available power. I'm not sure if the bottleneck are the daws themselves (I use Ableton and Cubase), or ASIO, but there is clearly a reasonable point to be made that Tod...

Re: XRack(summing and Gbus) vs Ableton and The Glue
I honestly can't hear enough of a difference, if any, (adam s2.5's in an acoustically treated room) to warrant the extra spend.
I would stick with the cheaper option.
Was this a trick question?

Re: Ableton - J-bridge !?
I've started to use it with 3rd party samplers (Omnisphere, Stylus, Kontakt), to allow myself more ram within Ableton. seems quite stable so far.

Don't know if this has been posted on this forum, but it definitely looks to be a more complete solution from NI

Re: Copyright?? Sampling From Speeches/Spoken word
I recently pulled a section of the 'I have a dream' speech from a forthcoming release. We used a 7 second sample, that was reduced to 2 seconds in the radio edit. This was the reply we got from Mr kings estate. "Your request for inclusion of the MLK audio sample to be included in the musical co...

Re: Any game changing Plugs like the BBE D82 Sonic Maximizer?
UAD Fatso and Fatso Snr, put simply, does what PSP Vintage Warmer can, without any harshness, then some! A bit tricky to get right initially, but with practice, brilliant. If I had enough DSP, I'd use it on everything
