Um, please do not try to improve your musical ability while drinking and driving.

Re: Stack overflows by iterations with uzi or counter - Tipps?

ah thanks, that compressed copy is a sweet feature. and sure you were helpful. deferlow can be very useful in many cases and i never noticed that object before  i updated a few little things and, though not knowing how, the delay before the random became as obselete as it should have been. may...

Re: Having Trouble Composing and Producing

it helps to enjoy music again by LISTENING to music. not by force but will, maybe when driving a car or bike, drinking a little bit. i think the impulse should be "oh hell! i wanna do this and that, how i´m gonna make it?" rather than "ok, i can do this and that. what am i going to us...

Re: What to do during 30 day trial?

just think what you need and then go there step by step. take a knob and connect it to a message, the rest is objects which are all documented inside very well. i found the learning curve not tough, it explodes quickly within the first weeks and then you´re on solid ground from where you can do near...

Re: Stack overflows by iterations with uzi or counter - Tipps?

hm i tried deferlow, seems like depending much of the complexity of the (whole) patch. its like i´d take a 200-300ms delay  and yes, i´m talking about m4l. sorry for mixing this up. my favorite feature on uzi is pause/release. but it´s too rapid without delay nevertheless. not just in the subpa...

Stack overflows by iterations with uzi or counter - Tipps?

I´ve heard its been not my fault since max has a serious issue managing timing for greater iteration processes (while great doesn´t truly mean great, you can provoke trouble with a three digit counter). From usual programming background I remember producing stack overflows only by logical fault, e.g...

Re: Won't advances eventually make musicians near obsolete?

about the yearning/desire thing. blaming sth of "being adolescent" is just missing the key of it all. of life, poetry, philosophy, art, human strength. so get down, get calm, get grown. get boring, empty, lifeless, with weak emotions always done before they could speak for themselves. trai...

Re: Won't advances eventually make musicians near obsolete?

there are people claiming being reduced to essentials had nothing but the essence of luxury. but i hold against, cause when time delivers too quick it has absolutely nothing of a luxury. its just getting pointless very soon.

Re: Won't advances eventually make musicians near obsolete?

btw the biggest problem for music whtasoever is the absence of the girl you could fall in love with. watching the development over the last century i must say: the girl the songs were about is dead. and so the current "songs" are. music has become a two sided field, a field for idiots tryi...

Re: Won't advances eventually make musicians near obsolete?

i think it´s more that music would become even more obsolete than it had over the last 15 years. things live by genius surprise, not just by random surprise. a computer can´t be genius, it at best could be quick, solid and loyal. therefore people who didn´t get this will never make relevant music. i...

Re: Best Sounding DAW

the difference between daws is much smaller than between mixing digitally inside or analog outside the box. so, if you need to talk sound you have to go analog. the only thing really "bad" in live are the most of the audio effects - soundwise. they are great when used as creative tools, bu...

Re: Controlling Inspector parameters per message etc.?

yes, thats exactly the problem.

is there a workaround? maybe someone programmed sliders in c/java whose min/max and steps attributes can be changed while runtime?
