I have managed to get sn0w leopard running mostly fine. Its a pretty good upgrade actually. Slightly harder to install, but still relatively easy now there's so many helpful people on the interwebs...

Re: Hackintosh Experts - Need Info

Hey Nebulae, back on topic? Then Id be happy to help :D Reccommend iPC as a distro, but the most important thing is to know your components and research each one individually to see how other people have gotten it working. The OS itself is darned easy to install, pretty much every distro uses chamel...

You guys tried using 'Xpadder'? You can map anything the pad does to a QWERTY key, and a few other tasty options. Might be worth a look... (Windows)

Re: syncing live on 2 notebooks, question about stability

You can run an ethenet cable, or set-up a wireless network on one mac, and have the other mac join that network... It works pretty well but it is pretty much a...

Re: Windows 7 Status report (surprisingly pleased)

Ill chime in here too.So far, w7 is good. A welcome upgrade from vista, even if it is hard to tell the difference at 1st glance. Whats better for music production? Not much really, afaik. Still no MIDI over LAN, no aggregate devices, no IAC bus.
etc

Looks pretty though. sometimes too pretty...

Re: syncing 2 live's

Hey there, I have a little experience with this, I did it extensively a couple of weeks ago for a project. Easiest way? Use two macs, they have built-in MIDI over LAN, so an ethernet cable is all you need. If you have a MIDI I/O device on each computer you can just run a MIDI cable from the 'out' of...

Re: Live 8 has to be connected to internet?

It's actually the missing hardware causing the problem, not the missing connection, as far as I know. It's got something to do with the id, that is being generated based on the installed hardware. If the ID changes, you have to re-authorize, because live "thinks" you are using it on anoth...

Sorry to ask so many questions, my friend. But amazon says that they cant sell the item to people outside USA. I was just wondering whether Germany is allowed to buy products that the UK is not?
Maybe you have a friend in America that will get it for you! 8)
