vlc has a normaliser too but it works in a very unnatuaral way.

hi boys! im searching for a way to use vst plugins in vlc player.
i want to use a limiter to reduce the highest dynamics when i watch movies late at night.

has anyone a clue.

what do you mean shift with? i guess you just want it to be a lil sloppy and off he hook? i guess a 3d party plugin will do the trick. look for the tobybear midi-bundle (free and interesting)

hi, this is rob acid, the guy youre talking about! no, seriously. dont believe the meters! they lie to you. its quite evidently visible when you cut highth with an eq. you see a direct respons according to your eq, but with lows there is a big difference, even with -4084db cut you still have visible...

As far as I know only slots 7 & 8 have a choke funtion. Select slot 8 and activate 'Link' in the bottom left corner of the interface. Now slots 7 & 8 will mute each other. that is reasonable for emulatong open/closed hihats, but lets say you have a long deep 808 or 606 subbass.... your scre...
