Re: Cv Tools no ext out
Hey, I figured it out. Try clicking one of the other numbers in the same dropdown as ext. in/out, and then your usual I/o will be there for you to pick.

Version 9 with LiveCut and Fire plugins
Hello I cannot get livecut or fire from smartelectronix.com to register in the plugin menu for version 9 of ableton. I know its installed properly because they both work in logic. is it because ableton 9 is 64 bit and the plugins are for 32 bit DAW's? has anyone else had this issue? LMK. Thanks in a...

question pertaining to monitor calibration
can someone please provide some insight as to how i calibrate a subwoofer with my monitors? the cones on the monitors themselves do not replicate subwoofer frequencies, but for the past year all the tracks i have made have a kick and bass that seems disproportionate to the rest of the levels and i a...

make a tempo click metronome sound with like 4 operators. have them all play a clip at different time signatures. on the first count of the beat, have it click 1 octave above the rest of the counts on each operator like a metronome. you will discover all kinds of crazy patterns that you can then go ...

learn about dynamic signal processing and learn about sound design and make the sound as perfect as you can before applying any dynamic processing if it even needs any. i realized the other day that making psychedelic downtempo music is way way easier than making something like psytrance even though...

ableton has a tap tempo function where you can tap a button to sync up with external djs. version 7 also has a tempo nudge function so you can sync up more precisely. you can cue out with hedfonez if your audio card has got more than 1 stereo output. in the master I-O thing in live, selsct 1/2 for y...

you could always put a gate on the end of your reverb so that once it goes under a certain volume, it fades the tail out making your mix not muddy and still be able to clearly hear the reverb. just make sure the reverb is on a return track and give the gate a fairly long release time..but not too lo...

The Auto Pan Effect. :)
so everyone knows what the auto pan does. most of you know that the auto pan can be converted to an auto gate with a few simple knob tweaks. what i think would be totally amazing as an extra feature of the auto pan, is if it had 2 little tiny boxes where you could specify maximum transposition of th...

so i have been learning how to use logic for the past few weeks now, and i finally understand why all the newcomers to ableton but old timers to music production would always complain about ableton not having a scissors tool, except for me it is the complete opposite! i am having to get used to the ...

Waves RBass is a very heady plug in to add lots off beef to your bass w/o making it sound like shit...when you move the frequency fader to the 100Hz + range, it starts to really growl...but i still agree with everyone else here about making sure you do everything correctly during the sound design st...
