Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
One of the new features for Audiobus for iOS 7 is going to be connection presets so what apps were open and how they were routed will be recalled. Getting ever so closer to DAW host capabilities...

Re: warp mode is simpler/sampler
I'm not totally getting it. When it comes to "sync up rhythmic parts and play them in time" it seems like warped audio in clips in session view would work well for that kind of thing. What's the advantage of having warping inside a sampler? I think people are referring specifically to bei...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
Now, now, kids. Play nice. They're both fun instruments in their own right and I'm sure they'll make a great combo together. Maschine is obviously further along in terms of maturity and stability for the kinds of things it does. Push still has a bit of growing up to do so give it some time, although...

Congratulations! You've just said one of the stupidest things I've heard here in a while.

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
It is a way different animal than a keyboard and can be more playable if you use the provided layouts rather than a straight chromatic style layout. A lot of things that you might have a tough time managing rhythmically on a keyboard are easier and faster on it. I know, but none of that requires Pu...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
But for all the people talking about how push gives you scale modes? Seriously? I've been using the midi scales in Live for years now. Scale+transpose and you're playing only right notes, only on white keys. Yeah, I play piano/guitar and I can already play scales on my 88-key controller so Push is ...

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]
It's high time for both Push fanbois and Maschine stans to put away their blinders and rediscover and celebrate the long-forgotten love between Maschine and Live. Despite the defensive posturings from a handful of insecure brand loyalists, they're actually best buddies in real life who are seamless...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
All I am saying is that we let the gear take control of how we make music and thats not what its about. The music we make may not be about the gear but the tools we use do end up influencing the end product in a rather profound way and we should be embracing it. This reminds me of the old preconcep...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
There are to many limitations to music making these days, and technology seems to be the main player in this. I would think it's the other way around, that people are increasingly paralyzed by too many choices as advancements in technology continue to remove limitations. I find Maschine to be the p...

Re: Sequence audio clips/slices that timestretch in real time?
I'm by no means a m4l guru, but why not just resample as audio and warp that instead of trying to warp the slices? That said, would be interested to hear what other options are out there.

Re: Renoise ?
Despite how it looks, Renoise has the advantage of having a very simple and fast workflow. It's quicker to put something together than any other software out there without even needing a midi controller due to the whole thing built around shortcuts on a computer keyboard. And it can do things that o...
