Re: Any hope for a Push mini design?

I love the concept of push but, is it just me or is that thing humungous? is there any hope for a smaller design with maybe half the amount of pads? Agree. A mini-module can be created that suits the needs of the minimalists and plugs in to the mother ship for those who think the more buttons they ...

Re: Live 9 will not allow me to drag mp3 to audio track

If you are running live "as an administrator" you will not be allowed to drag any audio into the program. Just make sure to not run it as an administrator. 1. Right click on Ableton Live Shortcut (Or whatever icon you press to open the program) 2. Click on "Properties" 3. Go to ...

Re: Live 9 will not allow me to drag mp3 to audio track

This is an unbelievable pain in the ASS. Programs are supposed to get BETTER, not harder, not more inconvenient, and not more dependent on replies from one of the three part-timers working in Tech Support. So you record a track on your iPhone voice recorder, you figure, "hey, I'll just drag and...

yabadadba.. ..not to be rude..(and I apologize in advance..because I will) I think youre a fucking tactless blowhard with no taste, actually. But not rude at all. Re: midi newb -- b3 and handclaps (for example)

I think you are a bit confused about the terms you're talking about. Thank, but still confused. I have a keygizmo that plugs into my laptop with a USB. I'm given to believe this is a midi controller. Now, within Ableton, I can make this thing sound like a nice accoustic piano. Isn't that a "mi...

midi newb -- b3 and handclaps (for example)

So, as the title says, I'm a midi newb. Would like to add some good handclaps --I guess I could record my own, eh? But a B3 wouldn't be as easy. I posted that question on "answers" a couple of months ago and got suggestion, but frankly, I'm not sure what exactly to do with it. If I want to...

Re: Have a Nice Day: my first Ableton project.

The reason the volume seems low on your ipod is because the track hasn't been mastered. Mastering involves various processing depending on the track. One of which is volume maximizing, multiband compression is also used to make a track louder. Mastering can be complex and takes time to learn. Try p...

Re: Have a Nice Day: my first Ableton project.

It would be better to convert the file to MP3 first as WAV files take a long time to stream/download. Try Audacity, it's a free audio editor and can convert to MP3 using the free Lame plugin. Once you have converted the file you may want to join SoundCloud and upload your file there, it makes it ea...

Re: how do I make my tinny mix sound like Dark SIde of the Moon?

a piece of info I find usefull about DSOTM is the presence of 'the black back wall' in the mix. It's about how you eq sounds and the space you leave around them so you can see some of the inky void behind the sound objects. With those two sentences you have put into words something which I have bee...
