Re: Want to make a big set to play my tunes live, any advice??

Hey man thanks for the reply, after messing around a few times I totally get what your saying, its almost turning into a dj set and planning whats next,, even though you can mix it up a bit with effects and controlling it is a bit boring after a while, still think it has some potential to be better ...

Re: n00b forum - Users' Help Exchange - closed - EPIC FAIL

ableton answers is shit compared to the old users help exchange forum. Ive not been on in a while, and I actually asked a question today which probably fits on ableton answers but half the things I see on there are unanswered with hardly any depth to the discussions. Ironic if my thread gets no repl...

Ive made quite a lot of tunes but think id like to experiment more with live tweaking rather than making linear songs. So I have a bunch of songs, and im taking bits and pieces out of them, stems, loops, fx etc. st...

Re: LIVE 9.2b1 Discuss....

Has anyone else noticed when clicking the loop start/punch in bar at the top of the arrangement view it no longer highlights the whole section you have looped, this is a bit shit as this is how I would duplicate whole parts, now I have to drag the cursor from the bottom all the way up then duplicat...

Re: How Can I Hear When Compression is Needed?

That's pretty much the exact opposite argument for why analog processing is better :) Aye know what your saying but when he mentioned the sidechain compressor thing it rang true with me, a constant volume modulation to make the bass duck is going to be more reliable than triggering a compressor, ri...

Also meant to add optical said he much preferred using saturation or distortion to brint things up due to consistency issues, just another point of view, a really interesting one i thought. What exactly do you mean by consistency issues? Consistency In what the compressor puts out. He said it's put...
