Re: Live 11 is coming !!!

I get that it can be upsetting for some that this means spending cash once more. But please remember what huge free point updates we got with Live 9. Live 10.1 was quite big too... I'm on 9 because I haven't used Live for a while (creative coma?), and the upgrade price I'm offered is what I conside...

Re: OS X YOSEMITE compatibility with Live 9

I've exorcised Java from my main system occasionally (only way to be sure), and Live+Max haven't stopped working because of that. Not sure where that idea comes from either.

Re: OS X YOSEMITE compatibility with Live 9

Why would Audio Units be preferable in this case? Traditionally VSTs have been said by many to cause less issues than AU. I use only VSTs because of initial issues with track activation (had to deactivate and reactivate once for the plug-in to actually get used) in Live 8. I've always used AUs with...

Re: OS X YOSEMITE compatibility with Live 9

Then tried to update my Native Instruments stuff to see if I could get the Komplete Kontrol plug in working. This resulted in Ableton hanging on plug in scanning. Wouldn't even open a blank session Are you installing the NI plugins as Audio Units or VSTs? If using VSTs, remove them (just the actual...

Re: OS X YOSEMITE compatibility with Live 9

I haven't noticed any issues with Live+NI products in Yosemite yet, but it's only been a day. The only odd thing was that it deselected my Saffire interface as the main system output. Live (latest beta) just kept working without requiring any reactivation.

Well, my original was returned because a few buttons had zero response ;)

I suspect it's a temperature thing. I'll see when it gets colder :)

Re: THOSE PADS!

Maybe there was something more wrong with my original Push then :)

Definitely more responsive than the original, though, which is why I returned it in the first place.

Re: THOSE PADS!

Yeah, the pads are the best I've tried so far. I don't feel like I'm going to get blisters while using it for a few hours, while the old ones were like rocks.

Re: THOSE PADS!

Sounds cool... Would it be possible to replace the old ones for the early adopters among us? That seems like it would be an expensive operation. I expect they won't :/ What really? Was this publicly announced? if not why not.. Ableton should win a prize for the least informative company around. See...

THOSE PADS!

I just got a new Push after almost 11 weeks of waiting, and it's definitely not the first generation. For those of you who have the first batch, you know the pads are a little hard, with a rough surface. The new ones are soft, smooth and a joy to use. The responsiveness is also far better than the o...

Re: OS X YOSEMITE compatibility with Live 9

I’m curious if there are any features in Yosemite that people on here actually want or need. Only indirectly :) I'm a developer, and I go through the new stuff in new operating systems to see what there is to benefit me. In the case of OS X, the major improvements for audio were a few releases ago,...

Re: Six weeks

Well, I got a new Push yesterday. No idea what took them so long to repair my old Push, but I think the store owner didn't expect a quick resolution at this point, so he handed me a new one :)

Great service from the store, terrible disservice from whoever takes care of repairs for Ableton/Akai.
