I go through a GT-8 into SPDIF for guitar recording. I can then use the GT-8 in bypass mode as a pre-amp, and use GuitarRig, or the GT-8's effects, or both at once.
Cutting and pasting from MS: CAUSE This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions is true: • Your computer uses an Ultra Direct Memory Access (UDMA) hard disk controller, and the following conditions are true: • You use a standard 40-wire connector cable to connect the UDMA drive to t...
Glad you got it working mate, nice detective work. Did you have ownership of the .ini file? That's the usual reason for not being able to edit it, or having to force 'Run As Admin'. If you change user names, or run under a different user programs installed under another user, you may have similar pr...
This is Sampletank not running properly under Vista. If it was programmed properly under XP it would work under Vista too, but programmers take lots of shortcuts and use tricks which work, but are not recommended. As a workaround try downloading TweakUAC and set UAC to quiet mode. Then R click the s...

The props recommend that you rerun the Rewire installer after changing an app that uses Rewire. Don't forget to use the new rewire installer, not the on from the Reason CD. That should do it.
More system details will help: RAM, Board, Chipset, CPU etc. If it's an 0x0A [IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL] in usbport.sys it's related to the usbport driver for your usb chipset, and not usb devices. Update your chipset drivers. The other common 0x0a causes are bad physical ram, and chipset drivers. Are y...
Standard polling rate for XP and earlier PS2 polling is 60Hz [about 16ms], there's lots of freeware for setting your polling rate right up to 1000Hz [1ms] such as PS2Rate. USB standard polling rate is 125Hz [8ms]. Some performance mice [Logitech, Razer etc. will set this up to 1000Hz]. Most of this ...
90% memory usage is normal in Vista, this is used for PreCaching [SuperFetch], if a program requests memory it is released to the program. This is nothing out of the ordinary. Just Google for Superfetch, and it's explained in full on he MS Vista site. Adding to the other tips: 2GB RAM is a good idea...
save up and buy something twice the price..the only good guitar for that price is the yamaha pacifica  Pah. Best guitar I have [out of 15] cost me thirty quid from a second hand shop, and it's made of pressed hardboard with DiMarzio SuperDistortions. Funky, I'd go with the epiphone, or the Ib...
Personally I've found Vista to be a lot more stable than XP, and certainly more secure when online. Rewire is problem free under Vista for me [Athlonx2], between Reason 3, Live 6, and Sonar. You must install the Props Rewire update, and then you're good to go. The WaveRT support [super-low latency] ...
