i have xp partition stripped down for live rig only and windows 7 for my everyday stuff and also use it regularly for producing and writing music ect, i can get my xp partition down to 128 buffer and load up to about 90% performance no problem, on my windows 7 partition i have to be at 256 otherwis...

I had Logic for a long time (got it for free!) I just made the switch to Ableton, and it seems superior to Logic in every way except CPU efficiency. I don't know what the deal is, just make sure your computer can handle it. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The Deal IS, version 8 sucks....

Everyone it seams are getting weird CPU behaviour. Funny thing is Live was solid in v7 no such issues, so it must be something that has changed in Live 8. Unfortunately there is no way to take Sets or Clips back to old v7 for performing live stability. Woot....a Piece of software you cannot use.!!!

I have a funny feeling Live 8 has an all new Audio Engine Architecture and we are now suffering as this gets implemented properly. The CPU spikes and drop-outs in Live 8 have been terrible.

I cannot believe this made it into a FULL RELEASE software.

This now means I am stuck on Version 7 for gigs and cannot play new songs as SCENES AND CLIPS ARE NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE...
