I have a similar question - seems like lots of people are trying to work out if this can fit their specific uses, notn eccessarily the way it was intended!

What I want to do:
* make a drum / instrument rack in Live - mostly one shots
* transfer this whole rack to Move
* launch the one-shots on the ...

When playing long samples in Drum Rack, Pressing Shift+PLAY stops the sample. I use this in my workflow, for example if I hit the wrong pad on a long sample.

However, it seems that if I am recording, Shift+PLAY also stops the global record...

Have I got this wrong or any workaround?

for colourblind users there is Launchpad95Colour out there that changes the default colours to ones easier to tell apart.

i will not buy a MK2 just for the RGB as for me that presents close to zero advantage, so i will not spend 200 euro or so just for the sake of having rgb. sorry for the bad ...

Launchpad MK2 and Launchpad Pro are not supported.

I love this script but find it impossible to use due to colour-blindness. (I have tried with different settings)

Thanks but that script is for navigation once you *have* a red box (that is, for Launchpad, APC40, Push users).
I'm after a control surface script that creates a red box and gives control over clip launch and navigation for non-supported controllers (I use a Twitch)

I use a Twitch with Live which I have mapped perfectly for my performance needs.

In Live 8 I was able to use this to launch clips using the "modern.dj/app ...

previously used live 8 on windows, now live 9.1 on mac.

I often used "Cntrl-drag" to duplicate clips in session mode or samples to nearby cells in drum rack.
I use this A LOT when making drum racks of samples.

Manual suggests Cmd-drag but this isn't working ...
