Re: Ableton midi Keyboard controller like Push
I would like it a lot, even more, if they give it some faders and more knobs.

Re: Still a newbie after 2 years
Im looking to be able to do a decent recording of my songs myself. Time and money does not enable me to go as deep as to go into studying it for qualifications unfortunately but I would love to do something like that. I simply am just looking for some guidance here in the basics and the possibility...

Re: Live 10 Stability
I personally have never come across such instability issues, yes there is the random crash in a 5-hour long session from time to time but I will be hard pressed to remember a day it crashed twice a day.

There must something wrong that is not normal at all, so check that everything is up to date, that would be the main suspect.
But this probably can only be solved with Ableton Support.

Thanks for the reply. Has the software helped you with becoming a better finger drummer?
Yes, quite a bit. You can download a demo and it has some free lessons, or just subscribe a month and check it out.

Re: Melodics lifetime subscription
AFAIK is no longer available, they had it at the end of year sale 2 years ago for 250 I believe, but nowhere to be found. I got 1 year on december of 2017 for 60, but I didn't see the option for lifetime.

Re: Will Live 10 be able to use 32 bit plugins?
'Cost' comes in many flavors. Yeah, like the cost of moving on from ableton cuz they wont implement one of the most desired features, one that built a new market around vst bridges instead of solving it like others. Far from being "the most desired", certainly I don't care and judging by ...

SSD are in fact slower than the PCIe HD that Mac uses but SSDs are already very fast, there are some pics with pCIe or M2 head drives but they are expensive

Re: PC Laptop Recommendations for Large Live Set?
IF you go PC get an RME interface for solid drivers, nothing is more important than that, dont go UAD on windows their drivers are not as good as RME. As for the computer I would suggest strongly: get it from a place where you can return it easily and get other model, you might want to try a few and...

Re: Best PC audio interface for Ableton?
Best on PC: RME, it is not even a contest, they have the best drivers specially with USB. Focusrite has mediocre drivers.
Another brand with good ones is Steinberg, much cheaper.
UAD on pc, too expensive, not the best drivers, for that money RME is way better.

Re: Recommendations for finding "normal" sounding drum racks?
There is just so much free stuff online, just search for "free ableton packs drums".
Now in the factory packs there are unprocessed racks, like the 908, 808, 707 and 606 kits (there are processed and unprocessed versions), I think the drum machines pack contains also unprocessed racks.

Re: Push 3
IF they include an interface the DRIVERS have to be as good as RME or don't bother, I couldn't care less about "audio quality" (pretty much all converters are more than good enough), but the drivers are what really matters to make any audio interface usable.

If you have an RME then the obvious suspect is the power management configuration, also checp the CPU temperatures.

I also support the suggestion to get an audio interface with proper audio drivers, IME there are two brands with good drivers: Steinberg and RME.
