With all the unfolding events in the USA, and in the spirit of Europe's digital sovereignty, this should be a matter taken seriously by Ableton. I mean, it's an European product that relies exclusively on American operating systems to work.

The old structure was hierarchical and could only be used from the top down.

I disagree, from Push 2 Ableton started to make their HW in house so I doubt they bought a HW company, seems redundant. Also Push 3 brought MPE so a Seaboard while different might be too much of a competitor to Push 3 and cannibalize sales.

Which manual will be the priority for updates? The online one or the PDF? like which I should expect to contain the latest updates and be corrected more frequently?

This is unacceptable. I like the new tag system. I really do. But it's far from perfect, I have over 950 meticulously Folder-placed plugins that is integral to my workflow, and I know that I am not alone in this.

Some stuff that can fix performance: configure energy settings to max performance, check you have any GPU drivers up to date.

Plug ins are not dropped into the clips you see in session view, they go in the "device view" section, below the mixer, you can drag and drop plugins there.

The included Pianos are... mediocre to be honest, the number of velocity layers, the mic positions, are no the best IMHO.

If you want a more realistic Piano sound you will have to look at third parties offerings, for example Noire by Native instruments, Pianoteq and also UVI has a few that are ...

You can make your own tags and sub tags now which is more powerful to organize the library

It's 2023 and video is not latency compensated in Ableton. Hard to me to understand how this is not considered a major issue to resolve.


Probably because Live isn't designed for Post production form the get go.

I have requested this since Live 9, and while it has not being implemented I have never gotten a response form the team either denying it is possible or that goes against their UX vision, just not a priority or not requested enough.
