Re: Moving Files from Arrangement view into Folders

Thanks @Valiumdupeuple - that's not what I was looking for, it still produces an .alc or a derivative of. Well @stuartm you've got the closest to what I'm asking for. There's an extra step in having to navigate back to the folder I want to drop things in but I can work around that for now (by adding...

Re: Moving Files from Arrangement view into Folders

Thanks Josh! I'm aware of the consolidation piece in the processed audio folder but that doesn't help me with the workflow I described above.

Moving Files from Arrangement view into Folders

I, Anthony, like to make loops. Lots and lots of loops. When I make loops, there is no intent behind them but I'm sure I'll find a use for some of these loops in years to come. I now want to simply take the loops which have been consolidated to a single audio file and drag them into a neat little fo...

Re: Recommend me a one-knob filter please?

Sonalksis TBK is a one-knob filter (plus a couple switches). It has quite a particular sound, not a general-purpose filter but very nice in the right situation. -Luddy but it can only do one filter mode at a time which doesn't fit what condra wants. I can't think of one to be honest, i think a rack...

Re: Sending particular drum samples from impulse to effects

make a new audio channel, input 1 -> impulse, input 2 -> Clap. Set monitor to "IN", then that clap has been routed out of impulse onto it's own channeal and can independently be effected.

Re: Re:

Hi All, I don't think the live supports VSTi as yet (Hope it will soon though) only VST effects. So you can't assign the MIDI note output to the FM7. WTF??? I can run VST on Live, although it does seem to crash when I change presets in Reaktor. :| ... :? .... :!: :?:  8)

Re: Substractive EQ is essentially the same as additive EQ?

you're mixing(pun) up two different steps here. 1.) production - when you're PRODUCING and SOUND designing you're allowed to boost whatever you want. 30 years ago this would be done on a guitar amp, bass amp, etc before it even hit the mixing board. This is the guitarist/producer's call on how brigh...

Re: Grouping together groups?

In before "yo dawg I heard you like groups...." Is there any technical reason why we couldn't group groups? It actually seems like it'd be useful, and I'm curious if there's a reason why grouping can only go one level deep. I haven't personally run into a lot of situations where it'd be useful, but...

Re: Ableton's External Instruments MIDI comm not good

are the midi clips unique or are they download from a site? I've found issues when i sent pre-made midi clips (especially clips that were made in another DAW) to my synths. Try making a new midi clip in ableton and see if that helps.

Re: [HELP] Need a new laptop for Live Acts & DJ Sets on Ableton!

I haven't found a more stable option then when i switched to mac. I'm not a mac bandwagon'er or a i-nerd but speaking from experience here, I use to perform with a top of the line dell in 2005-2007 had SO many issues and had the sound cut out twice with audiences 2k+. I've been on a mac since 2009 a...
