Re: max for live sysex documentation ?
I don't think there is any documentation about the new sysex in Ableton 10. For sysex input, use the sysin module to get the raw data input. Then zl slice the last and first integers to get the string in a set of integer values, convert to text using itoa module. For output prepend the first and las...

Open Mac Keystroke Plug-In Window with Plug-In Edit Button
I was able to open a plug-in window in a 'mac keystroke plug-in window' before in Live 8 (by holding shift + clicking on the plug-in button on a device). It is documented in the manual under 'Working with Plug-in + Devices'. This doesn't seem to work, in 64bit Live 9, using voxengo SPAN AU/vst. Has ...

Open Mac Keystroke Plug-In Window with Plug-In Edit Button.
In Live8, i was able to command + click on the plug-in edit button and it would pop up the plugin in an independent application window. (which looks different to the native Live plug-in window) This command doesn't seem to work in Live 9 64bit... i'm using Voxengo Span. (64bit VST) Has anyone made t...

Open plug-in in new application window.
In Live 8 I was able to shift+click on the 'open plugin button' to open a new window that didn't close when I changed track. (with auto-hide plug-ins on, in preferences.) This feature is documented in both Live 8 + 9 manual under the key commands sections of 'working with plug-ins and devices' as; '...

Re: Phase inverting with default Ableton plugs?
That's the thing with Width on Utility, it doesn't turn down the Side, it just folds it to center:/ (right?) Try using EQ and set it to M/S mode, with S selected set a knob to roll off as much hi or low as possible and see how that works.../? Thanks for the advice there. I have tried this and it lo...

Re: Phase inverting with default Ableton plugs?
Great, thank you.
I've been messing around with the plugin and i'm finding it hard to mute the audio that's not dead centre.
How would i do that?
I'm messing with the gain control right, but as far as i can understand that's before the other parameters on the plugin?

Phase inverting with default Ableton plugs?
I'm trying to invert the phase of Left and Right and add them together so i only get the center of the mix.
I have tried to find a way to do it with the default Ableton plug-ins and failed. Could anyone help me towards doing this please?
Thank you
Freddie

Re: Track Delay vs. Driver Error Compensation? Differences?
Ok I have done the test. That cleared things up.
In conclusion, the driver error compensation is just nudging back or forward the prerecorded audio in all the clips/in the arrangement window right??

Re: Track Delay vs. Driver Error Compensation? Differences?
Hey fishmonkey. Thanks for your reply and helping me out here. Driver Error Compensation is a global setting that is used to account for the time it takes for a signal to be processed by your audio interface and transmitted to Live (including AD/DA conversion). When you mention 'transmitted to live'...

Re: An alternate way to live looping?
Juan's on it. The session view clip recording is the way to do it. Normally, you'd set up the quantization to say 2 bars, and arm the track. When you want to record into a clip in that track, you click the dot on that clip, and you'll start recording on the start of the next measure. Sometime durin...
