I think MachFive 3 could destroy Kontakt, by the looks of it.
User interface looks really slick and intuitive. Feature set is immense: built in synth modules and that beautiful sounding granular engine - what I've wanted in Kontakt for ages. And the instruments sound amazing. Plus all the scripting ...

Don't upgrade yet. Aside from the "known issue" (midi output from live causes crash), I experienced many problems ranging from massive CPU spikes, to all out-crashes. It's not the plugins either - they work fine in other hosts.
I didn't upgrade my main mac, so its cool.

Reaper 4 has been quite a journey - its been really interesting to follow its development, help debug etc.
I've been focussing trying to write more "traditional" songs - recording my guitar and using the Abbey Road drums in Kontakt.
