Re: modify attack of Collision instrument?

I just had this issue on a tune and I desperately needed to fix it, so here is what I came up with. 1.) Get a linear phase EQ, and do a Low Pass Filter at the first point the click stops being reasonable audible. 2.) Group this EQ, and add a Utility set to invert. Then add another chain to the group...

Re: BREAKBEAT production tutorial in ABLETON

Hi netwarrior,

I've put together a Live set that uses the default Raw drum clip preset, and modifies it slightly for more of a breakbeat feel.

I hope it helps you:

Re: Help with this synth?

You don't need a particularly fancy synth for that sound, and I think that Massive is totally the wrong way to go. I've done my best to recreate it here with just the standard Live devices. There's an instrument rack containing an effects chain in these files starting with Analog, and then following...

Re: Dying Ice Trailer Theme Music

Hiya! Another quick post.... Here are a few more links for some other work I have done entirely in Ableton Live, most are fairly old pieces now that were contracted, again, for trailers ( in this case book trailers for a book publishing client, but I've provided the high quality song links here inst...

Dying Ice Trailer Theme Music

Hi everyone! I thought I'd share a link in here to the trailer for a short film that I did the trailer music for ( entitled Dying Ice ), entirely in Ableton Live ( I also contributed a tiny amount to the Visual FX elements in the film ): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxUYehsbVno The trailer song co...

Spectrum multi-input, simultaneous left/right display, lock

Hiya, Currently Spectrum cannot display the left and right audio channels simultaneously, which I would like it to be able to, just in two different colours would be great. Currently you can only view one audio input to it, I'd like to be able to add multiple ( stereo ) inputs to it, to be routed fr...

Re: Save configured Mapping

Definitely - would be so great to right click on a VST plug-in and say "Save As Default" as you can on the Abe's plugs.

Re: option for 16/24/32 bit freeze

I totally agree. IO is always the limiting factor with playback speed for large songs, so 32 or 16 bit files are a literal 2-4 times speed up in these cases where disc playback is used. Even better, if the state used to generate the original freeze was kept, you could later change over to 32-bit for...

Re: add new instruments and effects with a rigth click

Could not agree more, I've been spending a LOT of time in Live recently, and on a daily basis keep thinking how useful this feature would be. Especially if you could customize the dialog, so that you could put the most used ones you want within quick reach, to stop the pop up getting clogged with un...

I totally agree with you posssu, its a really nifty feature actually that allows better and more thorough collaboration with other artists, but it is still a little finicky to use it frequently. There should be some kind of "default" info text that pops up when the song opens that you can ...

Scroll bar for Info Text field

Comon, you know it makes sense.... At the moment if you type more than the area allows, there is no way to scroll down and see the rest of the text, unless you make the Info Text area full screen, which, just is not practical. Put a scroll bar to the right of the field when the user types past the v...

No scroll bar for the info text field

Hi there all, I am slightly miffed by the omission of a scroll bar from the "Info Text" fields in Live. When I try and type more text than the area allows, there is absolutely no way for me to be able to get to this text. A scroll bar would fix this issue very simply. What do you all think...
