Re: Vermona DRM set up with abelton live
I am in work so I cannot check the exact MIDI requirements of the Vermona, but I do use Abelton with external drum machines so when I get home in a couple hours I will send you screenshots of how to get it working

Re: Ableton suddenly useless - infinite buffering of samples
Before you go doing something drastic like reinstalling Windows, I would definitely get in touch with Ableton support, they may be able to offer a much easier solution to the issue

Re: Suggestions for PC Desktop for running Live???
The manufacturer is not enormously important but some do install unwanted software on their PCs at the factory, that is something you might want to consider. Virtual instruments will require the best CPU you can afford, especially the likes of Diva. Also 2Gb of RAM is not really enough, I would go w...

Re: My guitar sound comes through twice in headphones???
I also use a Focusrite Scarlett interface (8i6). The reason for your issue is that by default, Focusrite's Mix Control software sends any audio input straight to the monitoring output. This means you will hear this while you play, until after it is recorded. To stop this behaviour, open Scarlett Mix...

Re: Im thinking of boycotting Ableton after seeing this...
In the manuscripts of the bible the number of the beast in the apocalyptic visions is actually given as 616. In Judaism the number 666 is seen as perfection representing the birth of all creation. If you want to boycott a piece of software simply because their soundcloud page has some number then ye...

Re: Reaktor 5 problem with Configure Mode in Ableton 9
Just to clarify this is a problem with Ableton only, doing the exact same thing in Reaktor standalone mode works perfectly

Reaktor 5 problem with Configure Mode in Ableton 9
Hi folks, I am pulling my hair out about this one. I am doing a large hardware project at the moment with Ableton, running a custom Reaktor patch which is controlled with a BCR2000 controller. I can configure the perimeters fine, and then edit them with the knobs on my BCR. When I change the BCR kno...

Re: how to add swing to melodic sequence
What you need to do is turn the swing knob to the amount of swing you want, and then press the "Quantise" button on the left of the push. This will then add the swing. If you don't like it and need less or more swing, simply turn the swing knob to a new value and hit the "Quantise&quo...

Julian Bayles scripts for custom scales (Beta 9.1)
Hi so I used Julian Bayles fantastic resources to add new scales to my push using his 'consts.py' file and it works great. I use a couple variants of a blues major scale a lot and they are not on Push by default.
In Beta 9.1 this method of adding new scales no longer works, anyone have any ideas?

Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more
Can I just ask how swing works in the melody/automation step sequencer. If I am sequencing an automation line and my swing on Push is set to say 60&, will the automation sequence have the swing applied? If not then it is useless being able to sequence a melody that swings but with straight autom...

Re: Multiple audio outs for one VST possible?
It is possible in Live 9 and is often used with VSTs like Kontakt and such. Simply create as many empty audio tracks as you want out from your VST. Then in the I/O section of each track open the 'Audio From' menu and select each individual out from your VST. That audio track will then have the sound...

Re: Using Push live on stage etc...
Push is simple to use in a live setting mostly if you take the time to rack up your instruments and effects with macros. Push can scroll through all the perameters of effects but live you just want the perameters you need right there without having to scroll, just twiddling knobs and having fun. Its...
