Re: 64-bit vs. 32-bit user count

32-bit and staying that way for as long as I can.

My system gets the job done and RAM usage has never been an issue.

Re: Solid USB hub?

err, gaffa tape??? Dunno if it's gonna do it really - would rather not have the laptop covered in glue either. 8O That's the whole point of gaffer tape (and why it's not cheap). It locks stuff down but doesn't leave any sticky residue. If you (or anyone else)is looking for a new USB hub, this is th...

Re: Launchpad - How do you use yours?

Thanks for your responses guys. I have never heard of LPC before so I'm gonna dig into google and see what it brings! **Edit** Ok I've checked it out, watched the videos, looks very cool, but also looks quite complex!! I'm seeing lots of buttons all glowing the same colours lol!! How long did it ta...

Re: Launchpad Step Sequencer

Get Nativekontrol's LPC and don't look back. It has step sequencers for both drums and melodies, plus a whole lot more. On top of that you don't need M4L.

Re: Anyone using Korg padKontrol with Live 8?

I haven't had any problems using my padkontrol with Windows 7(32-bit). Sounds like you don't have the drivers properly installed. I would make sure to have the latest drivers installed from the Korg site and then try plugging it into a different USB port. The padkontrol was originally released befor...

Re: Launchpad - How do you use yours?

^^^ that's amazing. Where did you order that, through NativeKontrol? Edit: I see its from styleflip. Does it have the updated controls? (ie: scene launch)? Nah...It was made just before the new version (1.0.9) came out. I didn't even notice that he added scene launch. I'm grabbing that right now!!!...

Re: Launchpad - How do you use yours?

Hey...if anyone wants an styleflip overlay for LPC like mine. I asked and they said you can order a blank skin and just reference my order number 3587 and get the same one. It's a little pricey at $20-30, but it makes LPC much easier to use.

Re: Monome style looping w/midi clips?

If you have a Launchpad you can easily do this without max4live or mononme emulators by using Stray's mapping at http://www.nativekontrol.com/LPC-Live.html It costs around 30 bucks but it's worth every penny. I have the LPC and love it. It has a clip mode that will auto-chop BOTH midi and audio clip...

yeah...technically it's against the user agreement to redistribute the individual samples, but let's face it...to certain degree COPYRIGHT IS DEAD. Not just because the technology allows someone like the original poster of this thread to go through Maschine's sound library and anonymously post the s...

Re: New Turntable Toy

The Numark Mixtrack is only about $30 more than the Ion but twice the controller.

Way better controls and software support.

Re: LPC-Live + M4L stuff?

Ahhh I see now, you have to be in session mode to compose with the step sequencer. It's freaking amazing. That mixed with the monoseq... This is a powerful, insane workstation now. O_O Sorry man, I forgot to tell you that. You have to be in session to use most of the tools. I personally haven't rea...

Re: LPC-Live + M4L stuff?

Am I the only one who thinks that while LPC is a stunning feat of coding, it sort of takes the immediacy of the Launchpad and turns it into a convoluted menu-ridden system? I've watched the tutorial videos. All of them, and each page is riddled with functions in a way that makes it really inaccessi...

Re: noob needs help choosing APC40 or launch pad?

Even though the APC has knobs and faders, I think you get more "bang for your buck" with the launchpad...especially with nativekontrol's LPC. I noticed that nativekontrol's launchpad mapping has a bunch more features than than the APC-40 version including a MPC-style drum mode, 2 different...

Re: LPC-Live + M4L stuff?

Yeah man...LPC is the business. You have to dive into it with both feet. I've been telling everyone...LPC and Launchpad is the best front-end for music production with Ableton. There's plenty of great stuff out there for live performance, but for writing and production it really doesn't get any bett...
