i don't get that either, they already have your email address, couldn't they just email you the survey. if this was a 99 cent app on itunes i could understand (even though that's also annoying).

glitch is a windows only vst, so it won't run on your mac unfortunately. the new glitch 2 has a mac version, but is no longer free.

Finally got this to work. I had to add the folder where the .alp file was to my 'Places' and then I was able to see the alp file and expand it until I could get to the presets. Not as clean as I hoped it would be but it works.

I'm looking at the impulse as well and was wondering if you've used it without automap? Will most of the controls map using the built in mapping from Live or is using automap a must to get the most out of it? I've seen a lot of horror stories about automap and would prefer not to have to install it.

I think there's two possible solutions to your issue.
First, in Ableton Live there is a MIDI effect called 'Velocity' where you can alter the velocity of incoming notes for each track. You can set a min/max in the effect, however you would have to do this for every MIDI track you create ...
