Re: CPU usage in Live 10
17 pages of bad experiences....I’m not upgrading, that’s for sure ! It's not that bad. Ableton historically never been the most efficient DAW but it definitely isn't the least efficient one and with Freezing, you usually can fix most issues. With an older PC though I might have a different opinion....

Re: Live 10.1
With so many features added, I’m surprised they didn’t call Live 11.

Re: Poor Audio Performance in Live with no CPU overload
Yeah ...you do know about the problems (crackles, drop outs) with usb interfaces and mbp 2018 t2 chip?... Yeah, I get audio glitches, but wasn't aware as part of T2 chip issue there was also CPU spikes on low level number of tracks? Happy to be wrong about this. I had same issue with MBP 2017 2.9ghz...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
I'm getting massive CPU spikes as well, 2018 MBP 2.2 6-core with 32gb ram, RME UCX, Mojave What annoys me is the MBP gets 70 to 100% CPU load meter in Ableton and starting glitching out, and my actual CPU cores (shown via istat menus) are not every breaking 30% across the 6 cores. So I can't get any...

Re: Poor Audio Performance in Live with no CPU overload
I've got same issue, but I'm running a 2018 Macbook Pro (2.2 6core with 32gb ram) with a RME UCX interface. Live glitches out, and massive CPU spikes. Gets worse when I plug into a 4k monitor (then I get GUI lag and super slow GUI interface but I think the GUI lag is a separate issue). This will hap...

Re: Push 2 - Loop Length controls are very insensitive
It seems to be most likely software? - but if thats the case it should be affecting a lot of people I have contacted Ableton support about this issue. The Step Sequencer issue is not ok, having to hit the pads hard for input, and then also needing to check that the note input was registered is not o...

Re: Push 2 - Loop Length controls are very insensitive
With L10, they've been tweaked to be a bit less sensitive to avoid accidentally changing your loop selection while playing drums. Full velocity required sounds a lot though, it's definitely not how it behaves on my unit. Far out, less sensitive? I've had this problem since Live 9. I'm pretty sure i...

Re: Push 2 - Loop Length controls are very insensitive
I have the same issue, although its both the 'Step sequencer controls' pads, and the 'loop length controls' pads
I don't think its hardware related because those same pads are then sensitive in 64 drum pads mode (as sensitive as the drum rack pads).

Re: DSI Tempest vs Machinedrum, what to choose... HELP
The Tempest presets are terrible so don't judge it on those alone (if you are). You need to create the sounds yourself and start to build up a collection of stuff you like. Check this post series for tempest synthesis recipes: http://stimresp.wordpress.com/tempest-recipes/ And check out posts like t...

Re: To Maschine Or Not To Maschine
I bought a maschine - got some good tracks going. But then realised that once the song was starting to come together I wanted to be working in Ableton and not some annoying Maschine step sequencer bs - I don't like having to export everything ive done into ableton - i like to make stuff as fast as p...

Re: Where to live: Melbourne or Sydney?
Melbourne! There is no choice to be honest if you want to go out Best nightlife in Oz with broad spectrum of genres (although house seems to be better in Sydney?), really good laidback but serious party vibe. People are awesome, friendly. People just want to have fun and not take things seriously. S...
