Live 5 = No MIDI to or from Live with ReWire.

Live 6 = You can send MIDI to Live, but not the other way around.

While Live 6 is rewired in Slave mode, can it send MIDI to the Master application?

I know Live 6 can receive MIDI in Rewired mode, but can it Send?

This could be a huge selling point for me.

Yes, that's a good suggestion. The problem is that i need this to happen to the whole arrangement, and if I sample it now, levels, volume, sound... might not be the same when it comes time to mixing. And i can't do it to every track, because the sounds might change there too (on the MIDI tracks).

How can I set Supatrigger so that it applies a tape stop effect on beat 4? I can only get it to trigger on beats 2 and 3, depending on what granularity slice i use.

I'm using Live 5.2 for Mac.

OK, i'm sorry. Maybe i wasn't clear.

I want my clips to sync, even if i start and stop the track a lot. I don't like that every track will skip 1 beat when i press play.

How can i correct this?

LOL... yeah, i'll give that a shot. Maybe i'll just turn off the screen too. It's quite frustrating because i'm doing a lot of starting and stopping of sections.

Ah true, but I did some more digging, found Ableton's Rewire FAQ, and found out that only Audio can be transferred through Rewire, not MIDI.

Is it possible to do sequencing in Live, while it is rewired to Pro Tools? I have Live 5. I would really prefer to build my loops and songs in Live, while Pro Tools is running my Instruments.

So is it possible to send my MIDI data from within Live to individual tracks in Pro Tools? If so, how?
