128 sample racks: way to move focus to active sound?

I have made a ton of sample chains that contain 128 samples on a single drum rack pad that you select using chain selector. Especially with warping now being built into simpler, this has been great for having 128 shaker loops on a pad with 8 adjustable parameters, 128 vinyl drum breaks, etc. The onl...

Re: DIrect recording to drum rec slot

at this time i don't think this is possible. As a Maschine fan i, too, have always wanted this feature. For now the quickest method is to record into an audio track and then drag and drop. To be fair, this takes about as long as it takes me to hit the various buttons needed to record onto a pad in M...

Re: Simple Midi Question

akai makes an editor for that midi controller. download it and make sure that all the pads on your controller are sending different midi notes. once you get that sorted, in ableton, hit ctrl+m or apple+m (on a mac) to enable midi mapping. on the left panel where the browser usually is, you'll see a ...

Does anyone know the status of this? It makes complex live setups with the (otherwise WONDERFUL) Push 2 a nightmare.

Re: Way to lock push on one instrument for note mode?

Ok: I'm going insane.

Trying to adjust the reverb I have on a return channel while playing keys on Push, but every time I select that channel, my keys disappear on Push.

There is still no way to lock it to a channel?

Help me hack the touch strip to control octaves w/out shift

This might already be possible through clever scripting / PXT or something similar; I was wondering if anyone had figured out a workaround. I would love for the touch strip to always control octave range while playing keys *without* having to push/hold the shift key. That would be a players' dream c...

Re: Moog Voyager midi setup???? PLEASE HELP

I don't think it has anything to do with the Voyager. I have gotten it to work for several sessions but it will randomly refuse to work. I think it may be some kind of side effect of buying a crappy midi/usb cable? The midi in works fine on both of the MAUDIO UNO cables that I bought (yes, I bought...

Re: Live 9: Disappearing Waveforms in session view.

This happens to me all the time. When I zoom way into the waveform it majikally reappears. Then when I zoom out, the waveform goes blank, or it goes blank across, like, 4/5ths of the display. Super annoying. I found that when I save my project and reopen, the waveforms reload again and everything vi...

Re: Maschine as VST in Ableton Live (full, useful tutorial)

So I have a problem here if someone could respond please: I'm pretty sure you have this for an earlier version of Maschine. You cannot right click on the Project Name or Group and enable Midi settings. How do you do this for Maschine 2? Beating my head against a wall on this trying to get Ableton L...

Re: Maschine as VST in Ableton Live (full, useful tutorial)

So I was beating my head against the wall, searching forums and youtube for days, and I finally worked it out: This was all working for me unless the melodic parts (i.e. bass, etc) were Reaktor ensembles. If they were, the pads would light up in the shape/sequence of the melody when I triggered a mi...

Re: Live 9 crashes regularly for me

I'm using live 9.0.3. I was extremely happy with 8, and it was really stable for me. I've been a Live user since 2.0, and I've purchased 2, 3, 6, 6, and now the 9 upgrade. I was excited for the new features, but I'm sick of the program crashing multiple times a day. I'm running a brand new mac mini ...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine

I plan on playing with Push asap, and knowing my gear lust, I'll probably get one.
But for all the people talking about how push gives you scale modes? Seriously? I've been using the midi scales in Live for years now. Scale+transpose and you're playing only right notes, only on white keys.

Horrible Grand Piano glitches?

I was excited to see Live 9 include a grand piano pack, as previously I've been loading the glacially slow Native Instruments Alicia's Keys for decent piano sounds. I like the sound of Grand Piano more than the Sampler grand pianos from Live 8, but it starts glitching and dropping notes out after pl...
