If you want to use the know as relative mode, just have a look on that thread.
It's seems to be complicated, and maybe, the boring time you would have won't compensate the easy value scaling mode

I' got a DJM 700.
Did you start sending midi signal?
On the top right of the mixer, you've got Midi On/off and Start/Stop.
Hit the midi on/ off, and the display should write midi on.
Then go to ableton, open midi prefs panel (CMD + M)
Then clik whatever command you want ...
