Re: E-RM Multiclock and Ableton Setup

Hi, as i said above: to sync external clocks (f.e. clock of a sequencer) sample accurate to the DAW. You could do that also with midi but midi clock from a computer is not always as precise. I use it to sync the Doepfer Darktime, the Beatstep Pro, the Octatrack and some clocks of my modular rack to ...

Re: E-RM Multiclock and Ableton Setup

Hi, the shift and shuffle controls influence a clock signal. So if you use an output from the ERM to clock an external sequencer, the clock signal of this sequencer is then shifted and shuffled. Thats the main use case for the ERM: to sync external sequencers to a DAW ( or whatever you use as input ...

Re: Confused about drum sequencers

i have a beatstep pro. it has a dedicated drumtrack and 16 pads. you can assign a midi note number to each pad and sequence the pads in the drumtrack (in principle the drumtrack consists of 16 tracks). so you can sequence 16 different samples, f.e inside a drumrack. i use it to sequence an external ...

Re: Help setting up H9 to synth midi

The H9 is an audio effect, whose parameters can be midi-controled by an external device (midi controler).

So you must set it up as an external audio effect, for which you need extra outputs and inputs on your audio interface.

Re: Best Modular Synth

if you have a background in programming c++ or java like languages, then have a look into the Chuck audio programming language. you can program your own audio and midi instruments (including things like fft). no vst generation, but you can make quite easily your own midi listener, that listen on a v...

Re: NI Komplete 8 is coming!

Agreed. I bought standalone Reflektor as Live lacks a convo verb and I like the product quite a bit but navigating to it thru Guitar Rig is teh lameness. i'm not sure, because i can't test it now, but can't you simply put guitarrig/reflector inside a rack, save that rack and later, when you want to...

Re: How can I connect playing sets?

What do you mean with resetting a midi controller? sorry, reading that back it must've been confusing. So for example if you have your apc40 and lpk25 plugged into your laptop and you open up the first instance of live. The 2 controllers will be active. If you open up the second instance both contr...

Re: How can I connect playing sets?

You can use two instances of live (has to be activated in preferences). While playing instance 1 you can load the next live set into instance 2, and vice versa. BUT: I'm not sure, but to do so, you will need a soundcard with at least two stereo outs, 1/2 for instance one, 3/4 for instance two (to b...

Realtime pitchshifter for vocal treatment

Hi, i am looking for a pitchshifter to modify vocals in realtime.
it can be a VST or an external hardware unit.

Any recommendation?

Does somebody know which one the singer of Fever Ray uses?

Thanks
Hannes
