In case anyone was curious... I stripped the id3 tags off of the tracks and they work fine now.

importing direct from live file browser

The track is missing everything after the 16th bar... I've been finding stuff on google that suggests this might be a related iTunes problem

its hard to see the text, but i think your tempo is just set too low... your track is at one tempo and Live is set to another. remember one of Live's strengths, and hugest selling points early on, is its ability to warp audio. in the upper left you have Live's tempo. This track is 6:29 long, but it's only reading 16 bars.

I just installed Live 8.2.1, but when I import tracks into my library it only shows the first 16 bars.
