today I'm finally having some time taking a closer look on Live 12.

What do you think about not having categories in the instruments? Like Bass, Leads, Keys on the synths. I really think it's a big mess.

For some strange resaon the preferences folder in the macOS user library was not properly re-initialized for the new version, so I exchanged the files in Live 11.3.1b2 from Live 11.3.1b1 and now everything is there again. I experience this as well, Ableton Live is very slow in exporting, because it utilizes only one core for this, so all the holy multi thread power of modern systems is pretty much useless for exporting. I used Logic Pro 9 back in the day and it cranked up all cores for exporting if I remember correct...

EQ8 triggers it certainly, but even in projects where I tried not to use EQ8 at all, the GUI freezes occasionally for 1 / 2 / 3 seconds.
