Thanks guy's for your help, I tend to agree with the comment that you'd have to re render a few times before you can hear the difference but as it's only one track that has to be rendered to 16 bit for digital disto it's not a huge drama and thanks for the tip on Dither i'll make sure to disable it ...

Thanks Ryder17, I sometimes think i can hear a difference, That the re rendered version sounds a bit muddy compared to the original. So summing up if i introduce a 24 bit wav into a live set then export at 16 bit (For CDBaby etc) a difference will show?

Hi, Oblique and friends finally figured it out it's just a mater of creating a seperate track for the external audio effect and not just double clicking it and simply recording this track eg having it armed. i still haven't figured out how to render the track to wav yet not in the conventional way ...

P.S. When i render the tracks a warning comes up waiting for audio instruments to go silent then it starts rendering in realtime Could this be the problem it's recording in realtime?

Hi Oblique and friends I've gotten the the audio from the mixer and effects to sound back O.K. Using Obliques method as well as the more complex D.J. forum method i mentioned earlier but i can't find a way of recording it. When i apply extra volume on the mixer this shows up on all the channells ...

Hi Oblique, ive got that one on CD,Vinyl and Tape but not the Gatefold sleeve version. Hi, This will be a done in stages project.I think the main way you guys can help, Oblique strategies and Chapelier is to help with the Ableton part of the problem. How do i get ableton live 8 to record the wet signal not just the intial VST midi signal, I haven't really got used to my soundcard yet ...
