Re: Any push playing youtubers out there?

I have a new Push vid up and working on a few more. I'm trying to do short (min or so) performance vids where I construct the song as I play it.

Re: Is it possible to browse in the Sounds category?

OK well I figured it out. On the Push, browse to Places -> Packs -> Core Library -> Sounds There it is. I had to dig for it though. I wish it was easier to access. EDIT: Whoa, I jumped the gun a little on that one. Turns out that this way only gives me access to the basic sounds that come with a fre...

Is it possible to browse in the Sounds category?

I want to browse in Push like how the new browser in Live 9 works. The browser in Live 9 is divided into categories; the first one is Sounds, the second category is Instruments, and so on. When I'm working with an instrument on the Push and hit Browse I see a list of all my Ableton instruments and t...

Re: Help with MIDI Settings

I think I had this same issue with my Akai MPD26. I think its because your APC is using a preset. To define your own midi functions you must select a user definable preset from the preset selector on the APC itself (never used an APC so I don't know what this would be called). You maybe can even cop...

Re: gaming headsets and ableton?

I have some turtle beach's and they have some hiss through the mic, so I wouldn't recommend those. If you are wanting to get around not have an actual audio interface I suggest getting the Blue Yeti USB mic ($90 amazon) and download and install the ASIO4ALL asio audio drivers (free). I use both of t...

Re: Clip management improvements

6. Option to seperate each note in a midi clip into multitracks with the instrument loaded into each new track. For example, I have a drum part I want to put each sound on a different track, it would be nice to just be able to right click the clip and do this automatically.

Re: Seg. BPM & Resampling

do you have any audio or midi effects on the channel you are resampling? Have you accidentally changed the beat signature anywhere? Live's warping engine could miss interpreting the beat, are the start point and end points where they should be? Go to preferences and turn off "automatic warping&...

Re: Video

I have produced some music for video using live. I edited the video in Premiere Elements to a tempo track I made in ableton. Basically I made a simple 2/4 kick and snare and them imported into Premiere Elements as a tempo guide track. Then I edited the video to that. After that, I imported that vide...

Automatically generate Drum Racks

I created an Adobe Air app that will analyze your sample library and automatically generate Drum Racks that loosely adhere to the GM2 percussion key map. Its great for building lots of new drum kits for your music. And its freeware. Download at http://www.jessewhite.net/drumracksdiesel or http://dow...
