Re: Is it possible for a clip to launch another clip?
The only thing I can really think of for that is to use a scene launch. I don't think there's any other way to launch another clip at the same time unless you have a controller like a launchpad or an apc40 (or you're just really fast with your mouse haha). If you didn't know, there is a hotkey (cmd+...

Re: Routing Question
I feared that might be the case where I would have to do something like that. And I can see using the send/return tracks for this, I'm just usually reluctant because it usually ends up being messy. As a side question, does anyone know if you can switch send/return track identities without having to ...

Routing Question
Hey guys! I have recently hit a wall with something I've been trying to do. I have this house song that I am making and I'm routing a bunch of stuff to a compressor that is sidechained by the kick. The way I did that is by making an audio track (that has the compressor on it) with input monitoring o...

Re: Track Freezing Conundrum!
That seems like a good idea but my only problem is I don't know how to layer audio clips over one another. In other words I'm not quite sure how to loop an audio clip with a reverb tail without doing it like Live does it with the freeze function in the first place. I feel like I'm probably missing s...

Re: Track Freezing Conundrum!
I probably should have been more specific. What I meant is when you freeze a track, the clips that had loop selected pre-freeze do what I described. And what I meant by doubling the length is that it records a segment that is twice the length of the original and loops the second half of it. Go into ...

Track Freezing Conundrum!
Hey everyone. I've been playing around with Live and I've run into a conundrum. I guess the easiest way to explain all of this is to start with why I am running into this conundrum. I use the virtual synthesizer Omnisphere for a lot of my stuff, and the only downside to that is that it is incredibly...
