Re: With Propellerhead Reason v.9.5 now supporting vsti racks...
But 9.5 lets you screenshot a VST to feature on its rack container. I don't know if it makes a camera click sound when you do that. It should! But it's like keeping all your sneakers in their shoeboxes, but you have photos of them stuck on each box so you know what they look like inside. Fair enough...

Re: Ableton Live Redesign
The skin is pretty and very contemporary in a 2016 way. Perhaps you could have just put in an FR for clearer type and fine undecorated borders. I'm just breezing through this but here's what I noticed. Firstly, in the session view redesign it's hard to see what's playing, and clip blocks are harder ...

Re: Ableton Acquires Cycling '74
Reading this thread makes me reflect on Ableton's maturing concept of "Live". Obviously it's grown beyond the original laptop DJing thing. But to what? It's not really a battlefield for stage vs studio. I suspect it's more about "Live" being an environment for radical manoeuvres,...

Re: Ableton Acquires Cycling '74
And how would you interact with the rate or the amplitude of the oscillation in a live situation?! Oh yeah live manipulation would deaden that approach. Unless, of course, you resigned yourself to live (life) largely consisting of a limited number of predeterministic events and possible moves; and ...

Just out of curiosity, aren't short-length unlinked automation clips (better than) the device-independent native LFOs you seek?TomKern wrote:I even mentioned the LFO in my post

Re: Trigger Finger with Live 9
InMusic took over M-Audio and aren't able to support the old Trigger Finger much. Unless they've recently been told about an issue and solution, there's not much they can do. Try uninstalling the 32-bit driver completely, including cleaning up any M-Audio entries in the USB device registry, using Ko...

Re: Bitwig 2 was just announced. What about Live 10?
There's more to come in v2, allegedly, based on the end of the promo clip and what Peter Kirn said. So, all they have to do is include the much-touted modular environment and it's a different proposition entirely.

You know those stories where Alexa was buying stuff based on mishearing TV commercials? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4100446/How-Amazon-s-gadget-blows-cash-listening-TV-Owners-left-pocket-device-ordered-dollhouses-discussed-news-show.html If you're on Tunecore or other distro selling trac...

Re: Midi Sync ASR-10 to Ableton Live 9
Above is true if you just want Live as the sequencer to trigger your ASR. (Also check the ASR's EDIT > SYSTEM > MIDI IN MODE is set to MULTI.) If you actually want to sync the ASR's own sequencer to Live's MIDI clock, then in Live go to Preferences > MIDI Sync and turn on Sync for the appropriate MI...

Saw the Sausage Party trailer before Suicide Squad. When the first F bomb dropped it was mega! By the time the trailer was done, honestly it was a bit tired... The Westworld TV show trailer looked great too. SS was great fun every which way. Film critics eh. Just saw createdigitalmusic is knocking &...
