Re: A beat the clock competition with a Jury !

I agree that the purpose of the contest is to promote ableton and soundcloud. But they might see it as in their interests to have a contest that doesn't showcase how quickly soundcloud can descend into a spammy quagmire.

Re: How about a better forum?

I don't think ableton need to dedicate resources to answering questions on the forum. They would be better off using those resources as moderators. The problem I've always had lurking on this forum is that it's noisy. If someone posts "URGENT PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in the tips and ...

analog glide bug

I open up an instance of analog. Default settings. Turn on glide. Play some notes. They don't glide. Then I turn on unison. Suddenly glide starts working. Then I turn off unison, and glide continues to work. Then sometimes glide stops working again. Toggling unison can make glide start working again...

Re: sampler modulation tab A & B choosers "(M)" & "(S)" - what d

The (M) & (S) suffixes also appear in the choosers on the midi tab. It makes sense to have stereo modulation coming from lfo 2 & 3 on the modulation tab, because they have the phase and spin controls. It doesn't make as much sense for something like velocity, which is just a single value per...

sampler modulation tab A & B choosers "(M)" & "(S)" - what d

In sampler, on the modulation tab, the sections for aux, lfo 2, & lfo 3 have two choosers at the bottom labelled A & B.

Each item in the chooser list has either (M) or (S) at the end. Anyone know what they stand for?

I'd love to see Live on Linux.

Does anyone know: have Ableton ever made any comment about it? We can add a thousand posts saying it'd be easy or hard, but the only opinions that matter are those of the decision makers at Ableton.

This part of the forum is for posting a cool tip or trick. Not for asking beginners' questions.

The forum doesn't have a beginners' question section, so the general section is probably the go.

And don't forget you have detention after class!

numerically correct way of speaking.

If they wanted to use 2 digits they should have started with 6.0.01
I think the presence of two decimal points should already indicate that this is not a real number.
Hahaha, well said.

It does seem inordinately heavy on the patch bays. Did they spend a lot of time live messing with their patching?
