Re: Making Music - the book
I see a lot of people have already mentioned this, I came here to check on the status of the ebook version (at the very least, I would LOVE a printed version). It just seems crazy to not jump on a product that is so hugely in demand. I read the available chapters online and was hooked, but I gotta ...

Re: Making Music - the book
Just release it for iBooks already, mmmkay? NOW! You are aware that the actual author is reading this thread, right?! Is that how you always converse with people in your life?! :x Oh, it was just a (rude?) way to show my impatience and eagerness to buy a book that seems to be great.  :...

Re: Making Music - the book
Dennis, thank you for putting this together. Apart from the excellent and helpful content, it is a beautiful book to hold and read. Quick question - any plans of turning this into a series of video tutorials? Thanks again Hazza Thanks, glad you're enjoying it. I hadn't considered making videos out ...

Re: Making Music - the book
Just reached the chapter that talks about "Pitch Rotation", how do you do that in Live? This can't really be done automatically. You have to move the individual notes by hand. This could be a nice Max for Live project, however. Actually, I decided to give this a try myself. Here's a devic...

Re: Making Music - the book
sorry if I missed this somewhere... does this happen to be one of those occasions where if you buy the hard copy you get the ebook as part of the purchase?? I'm hoping so... because I can't decide which I'd prefer... both have advantages. We hadn't planned to to this, sorry. Where's your editor? :l...

I'm not sure about the timescale for the hard copies, although it will be "soon." The ebooks should be available in early April.musikmachine wrote:@Dennis can you give a timescale on the digital editions and when will the hard copy be back in stock? Thanks!

74, to be exact, I understand. Why 74, I wonder? Is it a Max MSP thing? I don’t know. Maybe Dennis just did the intelligent thing and wrote down everything he had to say about the subject, counted the number of tips and wrote it on the cover instead of doing it the other way around by choosing an a...

Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more
Is there any documentation/manual for the new functions (especially for the new push melodic step sequenzer)? I use the beta and can´t find anything like this. Hi Klepa, Yes, the manual has been updated with the new functionality. All of the new step sequencer workflows are covered in the updated P...

Re: The Push section of the Live Manual is rubbish!
Hi folks, We're still looking into whether or not footswitch polarity is something that can be adjusted from Push itself. In the meantime, if you happen to have a pedal whose polarity cannot otherwise be switched, I've made a small Max for Live device that will do this. http://www.maxforlive.com/lib...

Re: The Push section of the Live Manual is rubbish!
it is only a feature of some MIDI keyboards to auto-sense footswitch state on startup, most keyboards don't do it. if the Yamaha pedal you are referring to is a simple switch on/off model, then your testing indicates that the Push currently doesn't have 'polarity' auto-sensing. i will test it with ...
