haven't tried a clean install, but i can attest that i'm not having much luck with leopard after upgrading from tiger..

just won't load. i doubt it's the plugins, i don't think it's even getting to that part of the code

you'll never get 0 latency, but a good sound card should help a lot.

firewire is *usually* better than usb, if you have a choice of the two.

i've had very similar behaviour with the firebox in live

weird crackles and pops. messing around with the buffer size, with the firebox utility and/or switching to built in audio and back usually fixes it, but it's annoying.
