What Ableton Live version are you using?
I had this exact problem in the past and at some point it disappeared and everything went back to normal. Could have been from an update I installed. Not sure if this was the reason, but it doesn’t hurt to use the latest version if you haven’t updated your ...

Re: Push 2 User Mode - mappings and momentary status
Thanks a lot gross9978 and jeblo05! Push Hacker 2 looks like the perfect solution for my problem. Unfortunately it isn't sold anymore and seems to not work with Ableton Live 12. I'll ask the developers if they plan to release an updated version soon.

Push 2 User Mode - mappings and momentary status
Hi,
I'm struggling with a tricky question in an otherwise perfectly working setup and haven't been able to solve this in the previous months. Maybe some of you have an idea how this can be achieved.

Re: Searching for the precise name in Live 12
You guys are awesome! I combined some of your ideas and so far I could insert all desired devices on the current track via a hot key.

Searching for the precise name in Live 12
Typing Compressor in the Live Browser search bar shows every device or file with the name "compressor" in it, no matter if there are other letters before or after the word "compressor". Is there a way to narrow down the search in Ableton Live 12 so I only see the Ableton Live Device named Compressor ...

Re: Audio Glitches while VIEWING Plug-in
Certain parts of a plugin‘s graphical user interface can need a lot of processing power if they are not implemented in an ideal way. A good example would be a goniometer to show the stereo width. It needs to be drawn in realtime and there are efficient but also very CPU demanding ways to do this ...

Re: Problem with assinging MIDI CC 11 (Expression) to parameters in Ableton Live
You are absolute right. This was the cause of the problem.
I'm using an old MIDI keyboard to route the expression pedal through, for the sole purpose of plugging the pedal in somewhere. This keyboard didn't have "Remote" selected for the input port.
Thank you for your help! With this direct MIDI ...

SOLVED - Problem with assinging MIDI CC 11 (Expression) to parameters in Ableton Live
Expected behavior: CC 11 can be assigned via manual MIDI mapping to control parameters in Ableton Live.
Observed behavior: CC 11 is not available as source for manual MIDI mapping.
Already tested so far: CC 11 is arriving in Ableton Live, gets recorded on a track and can be used in realtime to ...

Re: Recording Audio From Computer straight into Live
For routing audio on your Mac, you might want to try this one:
https://existential.audio/blackhole/
I use it instead of Soundflower on Catalina and so far it just works. Without any problem. According to the website it is also compatible with Big Sur.

Re: consolidate file: Sonarworks Reference warning - why?
I get the same warning as you when I consolidate audio. I guess that's just the way Reference 4 was programmed. Better safe than sorry.
Did you check if your consolidated file sounds different than before the consolidation? That way you could make sure that the audio wasn't passed through Reference ...

How to sort VST plug-ins by manufacturer (Mac OS X)?
Ableton Live sorts all Audio Units by manufacturer although they are stored in the same folder in Mac's Finder without any subfolder for the manufacturer. I guess showing them in their virtual subfolders is done by the Live browser itself.

Re: A general question to intermediate and experienced producers
It can really help to work on multiple projects at once, as others have mentioned before. What has turned out to be an important aspect for me is to make sure the core of something is there before I leave it for later. This can either be that everything important is there in the music already or ...

Re: Label wants me to pay for mastering, etc.
It looks as if the label doesn't want to do what a label would traditionally do: Take the financial risk and only get paid if the sales are high enough. They make you pay their expenses so it is no risk for them. Not a fair way of doing business but I have seen this happening a lot. It seems to get ...
