In one last hail mary before sending my P3S back because it still won’t boot, I popped off the back to at least check everything was seated properly. Upon doing so, I noticed etched into the top right corner a key sequence:

Lock|stop + up down up up right right

Anyone have any insights what this ...

If I was in your situation, I would’ve already popped that nvme out, popped it in an enclosure, and checked if it boots to terminal. The current two week backlog on support might have ya waiting forever.

Ouch! So they make it user upgradeable - but only with their own upgrades.


They just want to make sure everything works as intended. If people start putting whatever they want in and it doesn't work, it just wastes a lot of time with support to figure out what's going on. This way they can ...

Similar thing happened to mine, though it never booted up to begin with. Ableton had me send it back, and will ship one out in two weeks due to “logistical reasons.”

So I've found two things you can do when booting this device up:

Holding the User Mode button (last button of the four buttons on the top-left, to the right of the "light bulb"/help button) while powering up, gives you troubleshooting options. Maybe try this and choose the "Start Push in ...

I finally got to use my Push 3 standalone this afternoon. Plugged in the power, went straight to update the software, rebooted no problem, then set out to download all of my packs after authorizing it. All of this went smoothly, no issues.
