i would be happy to hack that new Launchpad a little :) if only i would have enough money to spend on it. but so far the donations i received for it are quite far from covering the cost of buying a launchpad pro. but if by the time it comes out i get enough donations, i promise to get started on it...

Well i was hoping i could export out all of my mapping assignments so i can see if there are encoders assigned to multiple mappings.

Does Ableton have a feature to export all of the MIDI mappings in an XML file or some other of filetype? If not, can this be added? I have a strange thing happening with my controllers and i'm trying to debug it and this feature would come in handy. Details of the 'strange thing happening' mentioned...

Ok, i have mid in and out going on.

I'm using MIDI PIPE to see what's going on. Every time i hit a pad, i get a 'note on/off' (two in fact) signal traveling on channel 10 for the specified note (c-2 , g-2, etc)

But ableton is still not recognizing what is going on.

Can anyone give me some simple instructions on how to connect the Yamaha dd55c to my drum rack?

I have a Roland Um-ONE "midi to usb" cable that i cant seem to figure out with this device.

My DD55c's pads are all set to channel 10, and notes -c2 through -g2

i'm curious if you have figured this out yet. I am trying to do the same right now.

I'm using a Roland UM-ONE to connect it via midi. Any help?

Wow, thanks for the super quick answer. That is an awesome solution! Just managed to get a hang of the Melodic StepSequencer and now I want to marry it and have babies. I still haven't gotten a grasp of the Melodic StepSequencer. If you could please do a short video explaining it, that would be AWE...
