i dont think the fbv4 will work but i could be wrong as i am a midi retard.

it seems to do what the bottom row of buttons does on the fb1

I goued it sould be programed to do it though. sounds like a scince project for a midi guru to me.

sub Q,

I'm not sure how old my pod is i got in the late 90's when they first came out though.

I also upbraded to the pod 2.0 chip so its an original unit with the 2.0 brains.

as far as the fb4 goes, i gues it will work if it has an effects mode like the full blown fb1

Let me elaborate on my question, I want to assign the keystroke functions to a midi foot controller but cant seem to figure it out. Is this even possible or am i limited to the scene arrow buttons in midi map mode?

Manual Mapping Question

Is it possible to midi map an up/down/left right function to navigate throughout the clips section similar to the scene up/down play buttons in midi mapping mode?

an interesting discovery on my frankenpod set up...

If i program a clip start for a midi clip, i can start and stop automatically with the same button.

if I map the start control to an audio clip, the clip will only start when the button is pressed.

Any insight? Remember i am a MIDI retard so ...

Sup Dudes?

Here's a little update...

I was farting around some more with my pod set-up and i discovered that i can also use the nobs on the kidney bean unit as rotary controllers. So that gets me 7 stomp button controls, 2 expression peds, and 7 knobs to jack things up with.

Looks like this old ...

Please forgive me as i am probably the least MIDI savy person on the planet so I consider mysely luck to have stumbled upon it working via the pedal board mode.

From what i can understand, in order for LIVE to recognize comands from a set up like mine the board needs to send a simple on/off signal ...

i dont think the pod xt will suit your needs as a midi controler if you are planing on running your guitar through it for the guitar audio.

The set up I am using is an old POD 2.0 "kidney bean" unit conected to my laptop with a usb midi cable. Its actually an original POD unit with the upgrade 2.0 ...

yeah , ive checked out the other footpedals and know whats out there. I was simply trying to make use of what i had already spent a butload of cash on and wasn't using.

The pod set up will probably work out pretty well for what i need to do. The line 6 floor board has 7 assignable switches and 2 ...

That seems to be whats going on...I need to figure out how to "trick" or reprogram the unit into simply reaging the foot switches as on/off devices. I can get 3 of the 4 pedals to work by switching the unit into "foot pedal" mode but one pedal requires a trigger to activate the effect which i am not ...

MIDI Foot Control Help

I am attempting to make use of an old Roland GS-30 as an onstage foot controler to start/stop clips and scenes, etc.

I've done all the set ups in the manual and FAQ area and everything seems to check out when i map out the foot switches but nothing is happening when i exit the Midi mapping mode ...
