Re: Sometimes after adding a folder Live 9 shows it as empty

Having the same problem. I honestly don't think that waiting for the indexing is the answer for two reasons. 1) With some of the folders, I noticed that some of their sub-folders started appearing once they had been indexing...in other words, certain items appear as soon as they've been indexed with...

Hmmm. Browser not cataloging my folders

Weird. In the new browser, I can do "Add Folder" and add a folder. Once I have done that, I can open some folders and see all the contents, but other folders just end up looking empty. Any idea what might be causing this? I don't think that it's due to the many files in some folders...if t...

Do I have to re-install all my packs after moving from...

Do I have to re-install all my packs after moving from the pre-release Beta to the general release of 9? I had loaded up all the packs using the Beta, but now that I've installed the real deal program, none of the packs are showing up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Can't get the latest BETA version working

Hmmm. I guess that could be the problem. I was previously working with the previous version of Beta 9.

Can't get the latest BETA version working

I just downloaded and installed the new Beta version released in the last day or so. I chose the 32-bit version for Mac. The download came through all right, the installation went fine. But when I launch, I get the window "Please authorize this copy", so I click to launch the authorizer, w...

Re: Ableton live on MacBook Pro

If you are concerned about size/weight of the 15" and don't think you would miss the extra screen real estate, you could always purchase the 13" MBP Retina and upgrade the processor to the i7 clocked at the faster speed (Apple charges an extra $200 to do this)...sure, it's still a dual-cor...

Re: Ableton on MacBook Pro

Quad core i7. Quad core i7. Quad core i7. Why? Because no matter how well LIVE runs on lesser processors, you never know when LIVE might become more CPU demanding (Live 9?) or when some instruments (Diva? Tremor?) might become taxing on your processor. Buying a quad core i7 will prepare you best for...

Re: Live 9 Pricing

Guys, just as another point of reference...my studio has been working with ProTools 8 for some years. When PT9 came out, we didn't upgrade, because PT9 was all about the Native (non-TDM) version of PT. No advantages for 8 TDM users. Through the years, our upgrades from one version (PT5, PT6, PT7) to...

Soniccouture Broken Wurli and Stage Rhodes

These items are on sale for the next couple of days...and I'm conflicted as to whether to buy the full library or the Ableton Live Pack (contains the Main Output channel of each library).

Anyone out there have any ideas about this?

On the recommendation, I bought it. Tomorrow, I'm shaving half of my head. I'm also trying to Facebook friend Ellie, so we can start hanging out.

Thanks for helping me understand how Skrillex works it!

Linear, yes, you could be right. No doubt that Trade Shows have devalued as software companies have adopted a more "direct-to-consumer" approach. Still, the Los Angeles NAMM has value to a lot of companies, simply because the entire L.A. Music Industry shows up...no, NAMM isn't a "con...

A couple of dates to remember: This upcoming weekend, the yearly AES Convention in San Francisco (Audio Engineering Society). Many recording professionals attend this convention, and even though Ableton is not exhibiting there, they may be wanting to get some leaks out prior to the show to offset th...
