Re: electric bass midi interface

hmm the download link didn't work for me.... Will try again after work... Notes coming up in that lil midi monitor window it's got? Once you select the track as the MIDI source for another track, the dropdown under it should give the VSTs by name which have MIDI out. Unless they haven't followed the...

Re: electric bass midi interface

i've tried some tests with the synodeia and synodeia2 plugin, but can't manage route it right. it is supposed to send midi out in order to control another sound device but it only has an audio out :? anyone has already used it? On an MIDI track you can select the input as being the output of a VST ...

Re: electric bass midi interface

Octave up effect is a little simplier then octave down effect, it might help. Octave up is done through "full-wave rectification" which is passive components without any chips but just diodes and a transformer. It might be smooth enough... maybe...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectifier...

Re: Huge Latency diff. between 7 & 8

hmmm I guess likely uses similar amount of CPU in the end..... Still it's worth playing around with, depending on setup can likely squeeze a lil more outta your hardware. edit: Guess it only really comes into play if you're already able to get buffers down below 128. Bigger buffers at higher sample ...

Re: Huge Latency diff. between 7 & 8

One thing with latency minimisation that gets overlooked.... The buffer samples are linked to the sample rate. The time passing for each 256 samples is more at 48000 samples per second then it is at 96000 samples per second. This means less latency at 256 samples running at 96kHz then 256 running at...

Re: Huge Latency diff. between 7 & 8

yes, there is no such thing as zero latency, even in a protools HD tdm DSP chip environment. There is low or even ultra low latency but no such thing as ZERO latency. One exception to this that I've only just discovered how to use properly..... I have a RME Multiface which features zero-latency mix...

Re: Huge Latency diff. between 7 & 8

err. drum racks, sidechaining, slicing, rex file support, group tracks, cross fades (even though rudimentary) on arrange, limiter and multiband dynamics, etc, etc. * Drum racks are just a midi mapping really it seems, nothing that can't be done in other ways. * Side-chaining is possible in Live6, V...

Re: Huge Latency diff. between 7 & 8

Well..... I've been experimenting with Live8 vrs Live6 and as yet can't find a reason to upgrade.

Everything that would be easier in Live8 is still possible in Live6 with just a lil creativity.

Time-signatures on scene launch is the only feature that I can think of that is really new.

Re: Huge Latency diff. between 7 & 8

The input/output buffers reported to ASIO are only half the picture. The ADC-DAC conversion process also takes time which isn't reported via the buffer size. This needs to be tested by loop-back and entered into software to compensate for the converters as well as buffers. Don't believe this is the ...

Re: 1st look at new Reason product

Isn't there a hack that allows you to enable audio inputs in Reason 2.5?

This has been much in demand by Reason users for a long time and I believe they had found work-arounds already.

If Live output midi files for Rex loops then who would need Reason.....
