Re: Mid East Electro body music or something. . .

Yes, I may do a remix. It could be my particular monitoring setup, but I'm hearing the tanbur just fine. Or I guess I should say, it's about right where I want it. BUT I have yet to audition it on a lot of other sound systems, so you're probably right that the clarity of the yayl? tanbur could be im...

Re: Mid East Electro body something. . .

I'm digging this a lot as well. I'm a big fan of Smadj, Dhafer Youssef and Eivind Aarset so your music fits right in there. My only, very small criticism, would be that you could try adding some kind of modulation and/or some subtle beat repeat to the drum track. In my opinion it tends to get in th...

Re: Mid East Electro body something. . .

Nice! That's a really cool track. I really like the flute part. A lot.

Also, thanks for giving a damn, beats. Deep Forest is definitely in a similar vein. Thanks for sharing :D

Will do, Tagor 8) I've been itching to get back to Europe for awhile now, so I'll definitely look you up. Thanks.

@mayabong: Thanks! I appreciate it.

Re: Mid East Electro body music or something. . .

The melody of the yayl? tanbur is based on Turkish hicaz on A. Thus the .tun file is in my fingers :) The only synth retuned was via a .tun file for Zebra for the bass part.

Thanks! I was just listening to one of your tracks now. Onelivecircle has a nice ambient/pulsing soundtrack vibe. Digging it, for sure!

Re: Mid East Electro body something. . .

Interesting. Must be the result of my amalgamation. The instrument I'm playing is Turkish, and the melody uses authentic Turkish intervals. A friend has mentioned the Cirque vibe to me before. It seems to really come out in pieces like this. Glad the glitch is not over the top, I like it just for a ...

Re: Freeze, Flatten.. Why not option to Flatten to new track?

@ Fantismo: I think this would be a great improvement in workflow. Definitely. But it's also not a huge deal given the other options as noted above and probably not high on the Ableton priority list.

Re: Do YOU use a foot controller & WHERE are the cool new ones?

Too bad to hear that there is significant bugginess with the Softstep. It would be my choice, otherwise. Currently, I'm using the Logidy UMI3. To me this is the ultimate in portability and ruggedness. But it is very limited with only 3 buttons. It has it's own button sequencing software, but it does...

Re: if live 9 is not 64-bit...

I would hope that the Live user base (and thus how and where Live gets utilized) is a lot more broad than you make it out to be. I think you're reading too much in to what I'm saying. So you want to instal your own surround live performance systems and think Live should accommodate that, fine... bu...
