I will never buy anything sold by Akai because of the serious lack of customer service.

I would like that.

Akai should have a class action lawsuit filed against them because of the crap MPD-XX pads that that sell and then don't support.

It's has been a hundred dollar paperweight for the last several weeks.

Are you using an Akai MPD-16?

Slightly off topic... I hope Akai writes better Windows drivers for that product than they did for the MPD16. The MPD16 crashes my computer randomly and I was using the driver that was supposed to fix that problem. Stay away from the MPD16 if you use Windows XP!!!

Edit - I just noticed the word "Vista". Maybe that's the reason? Probably is.

Drag a VST or Abelton Live instrument to the track. Arm the track.

I bought a fishing reel that had the same warning. I think it was because the gears are made of brass which contains lead. I'm not likely to start chewing on the gears of a fishing reel.

Never the less, do a search for Operator and check out pages in the 40/41 range and watch the "fireworks". Somewhere around January '05 I think.
