Re: Motu ultralite explodes into wall of white noise
The problem occurs on OS X for me.nathannn wrote:This is a Windows issue. The reason 'company's know about these problems for years and never do anything about it' is because there is nothing to be done on their end. The problem is with Windows.

Re: Motu ultralite explodes into wall of white noise
ive heard of this happening to people with other firewire devices linked up before or after the MOTU.. sucking too much energy.. I used to have my Ultralite hooked up after my firewire drive -- it would produce out of control white noise whenever the firewire drive was being written to. The sudden ...

Yes, sounds like probably the same thing happened here.

I'm gonna go with 'poop in the pitch wheel' per your last suggestion.
I never use it, and it was actually pretty glitchy upon closer inspection.
Moving it around seems to have busted some gunk loose.

Re: All synths a half step flat (what the ?)
In an old project, inserting a new midi track and adding a snyth to it produces the 1/2 step flat problem, while an existing midi track/synth plays correctly. I was hoping I'm crazy. I'll settle for befuddled. Writing support. I'll update ya... I think I got it...PITCH BEND WHEEL MIGHT BE OFF I fai...

Re: All synths a half step flat (what the ?)
sounds like a major bug... which os btw? support@ableton.com is your best bet os x 10.8.4 From old project (again, that works fine): File -> New Live Set, and the problem returns. This is goofy. I'm gonna go for a walk. I'll give support a shot once I've convinced myself I'm not crazy. Thanks, 3dot!

Re: All synths a half step flat (what the ?)
are you sure the clip records a C ? no 'pitch' plugins or m4l plugins? which version of Live? are you working with any specific synths? do the synths have any detuning turned on? Hey 3dot, *Yeah, for a "C" played, the clip records a "C" in terms of the midi note event itself. *N...

All synths a half step flat (what the ?)
Um. This has got to be something stupid, probably me... Bass is tuned just fine. It checks against both tuners and my other basses hanging on the wall. Same note on either keyboard produces a note that is one half step flat. eg a B on my bass must be played as C on the synth, etc... It's not the key...

Re: Are you douche enough for BMW?
BMWs are a pleasure to drive, and their motorcycles have certain outstanding qualities as well. I currently own neither -- don't care about cars, really, and I'm too much a cautious father to ride anymore. Which direction does the arrow of causation point? Do the douchey purchase BMWs, or do BMWs in...

Re: White Led colors have different color tints/shades
Barring the use of computer vision to aid in calibration (or other specialized factory hardware, which apparently wasn't employed) the 'software solution' would require adjusting every LED by eye against a reference white source -- which could be an LED whose color of white you happen to prefer, for...

Re: Prof. Dr. Thomas Metzinger - The Ego Tunnel
there is no such thing as a " self " -- that a " self " is simply the content of a model created by our brain - part of a virtual reality we create for our selves . Can you see what's wrong with that sentence? I can see what's confusing about it. Try not to worry about the short...
