Re: A way to automate or MIDI map Computer MIDI Keyboard switch
musikmachine, you're saying hitting the M button in version 10 will toggle that switch? When in Ableton Live 10, you can press the M key to enable and disable "Computer MIDI Keyboard". Press M once, and if the Computer MIdI Keyboard is not enabled, it will be enabled. Press it again, it'll go back ...

Hi, out of interest, what kinds of things have you set up Keyboard Maestro to do with Ableton Live?dougdi wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 11:43 pmCheck out Keyboard Maestro. It does a whole lot more than just map keys. I can't work without it. I am not affiliated to the maker in any way.

Re: Surge VST in Live 9.6
Is anyone out there able to get Vember Audio Surge VST to show up in the list of instruments? I have tried different versions and multiple attempts and I can't get it to show up. edit: OSX 10.11.3 Hi. Surge has been opensourced by Claes. After steady and voluntary development by various programmers...

Re: Live and Symbolic Links (Mac)
i haven't tried it but it will probably work. however, i don't really get why you would want to do it that way. why not just change the Library location in the Live prefs? By doing this, you can run one command on the terminal on multiple machines and don't have to change anything in Ableton Live. ...

Looks like you're running the non-GUI version. I hope there is some way to get the AudioUnit to load with the GUI

I made a midi clock with PD once and it works fine. cool... how did you do it? what i meant was there's no object called something like [clock] that acts the way [ctlin] or [notein] do. i tried syncing once by having 16 midi clips in live, each 1/16th long playing in a cycle with follow actions sen...

Re: MIDI Effect Racks / Macro to SEND CC-data?
You might want to check out Macrobat, which comes with Clyphx as an alternative. That's how I used midi effect racks to send CC values to external gear. Then I don't even need to map anything, just use a scripted controller to control the macros of the selected rack. Actually, I found this: http://...

Re: OSX keyboard shortcuts for Ableton Live
shame, I regularly use this window and a shortcut would be nice Maybe you could make a feature request out of it - i.e. that there'd be more context-menu-only stuff available in the main top-bar menus. that way we could map anything anywhere. I would absolutely kill for "Show in Finder" shortcut, f...

Re:
You don't even need to use automap if it sounds too complicated. "MIDI learn" a CC to a macro on an empty rack and make sure you set up "MIDI remote in/out' correctly. You'll get the same result plus you get to specify which CC to use. Hi Hoffman2k. Is there some way of doing this in Ableton Live 9...

Re: Default Packages folder in Live.app
Thanks for the reply! Ideally I'd like to delete them forever and your solution is a good test for that. If Live stops working, then I'll move them back in. Well, what was the result? I just wiped my DefaultPackages folder because it was 1.8gb of size and that's just a no go for me! Latin Percussio...
