A alternative is scale Studio from feelyoursound.

It would be Great if Ableton will enhance the Midi with Root Note for Song Auto transpose and chords and scale for the Pianorolle

There is a patch for MAX then it works again.

I have the same issues with Max4Live and OSX10.10.3. Ableton is aware of this problem and they have found the same issues. Live crashes when a Max device is opend. It is related to a central part of MAX. I hope they will fix it soo

Mixcraft 7 at least has now a clip launcher and a rootkey and transpose and tagged lops with autotranspose.

I heard the wigs will iplement this too in there software.

I have to correct me. When Live is running I have no issues. But in 3 from 4 times live starts and ends with the spinning wheel for ever and has to be closed via dock.
